TERESA FERNÁNDEZ has been interested in art from early childhood. Fascinated with color, texture and innovation. Teresa began her artistic journey with a successful career in fashion design. In 1990 Fernandez began painting.

Originally from Chihuahua City, Teresa Fernandez moved to El Paso, TX. in 2005. Continuing to explore her love of color, Fernandez uses a mix of various mediums to achieve her unique contemporary painting style.

Teresa works in oil, watercolors, acrylic and mixed media hang at private and corporate collections in Mexico, United States and Europe. She has taken specialized classes on complex techniques and learned to experiment with different materials. Her style is vibrant with her passion for color and texture, creating very expressive works.

Teresa loves to teach art. Fernández is the owner, director and instructor of Cre-Arte Art Academy and Studio. She taught Art History and Appreciation at Tecnologico de Monterrey, as well as workshops on mixed media painting and drawing.

She studied in Mexico and the United States completing more than 20 special courses covering such subjects as drawing, portraiture, human figure, oil, collage, acrylic and watercolor.
